S2 Offers High-Level Network-Based Intrusion Panel Integration

Framingham, MA (October 5, 2010) – S2 Security Corporation today announced the integration of DMP’s XR500 Command Processor Panel with the S2 NetBox IP-based physical security management system. As a result of this integration, users of the S2 NetBox system will now have the option of high-level network-based intrusion panel integration to augment the access control, alarm monitoring, temperature monitoring, and video surveillance capabilities already offered in the S2 NetBox line of products. S2’s integration with DMP’s XR500 Command Processor Panel will be on view at the S2 Security booth (#2233) at ASIS 2010, Oct. 12-15, Dallas, TX.
With its DMP XR500 support, S2 streamlines the integration of access control and intrusion detection by eliminating the hardwire connectivity between panels that is typically required with legacy systems. System installers can now take advantage of 100 percent IP-based bi-directional communication between the S2 NetBox and the DMP XR500. The integration significantly reduces installation time, and enables the two systems to interact no matter where they are physically located on the network.

The DMP XR500 Command Processor Panel offers support for 574 inputs, 16 doors of access, 502 Form C relays, 32 areas, and 10,000 users. It communicates via the network or digital dialer and is the most versatile and easiest to use Burglar and Fire alarm system in the industry. Integration with DMP XR500 is supported in S2 NetBox version 4.1 build 453 and later, and is available immediately.
